This is one of the most comprehensive sites on the Internet for small business owners. Small business guides (http://toolkit.cch.com) cover everything from getting financing and managing your finances, to protecting your assets and selling your business. A business tools section includes free downloadable finance templates, and federal and state tax forms. There are also hundreds of calculators for mortages, loan, debt management, auto loans, investments, retirement savings and more.

Small Business Investment Companies (SBICs) are SBA-licensed but privately owned and funded investment firms that provide financing and equity capital for small business. Some specialize in certain industries, while other SBICs seek out small companies with innovative ideas and products, in a way similar to venture capital firms.
